Engaging clients, the Courts, and the Community: Clinical Education During Covid-19

Please note, Jenny Wondracek is not a speaker on this session. I am submitting this on behalf of our clinic.

Speaker: Angela Downes, Assistant Director of Experiential Education and Professor of Practice, UNT Dallas College of Law.

Speaker: Gabriela Sotelo, Professor of Practice, UNT Dallas College of Law

The UNT Dallas College of Law Community Lawyering Centers (CLC) and Joyce Ann Brown Innocence Clinic (JABIC) have had to pivot to continue providing legal services to clients and a meaningful legal education experience to students in the age of COVID-19.  Professor Downes will discuss the clinics' actions to keep up with the changing legal landscape in North Texas. For example, the CLC held its first video hearing recently - https://twitter.com/untdallaslaw/status/1261051217754685454
